Damian Clara in top form

After his shutout in the Champions Hockey League at the end of August, Damian Clara has now followed up in the Swedish elite league.

In his first league game of the season, Clara stopped all 25 shots in his club Brynäs IF's 4-0 away victory against HV 71. The Pustertal goalie got his chance to prove himself after former NHL goalkeeper Collin Delia conceded a total of 13 goals in the first two games.

Clara had already kept a clean sheet in the CHL in a 5-0 win against HCB's opponent, Mountfield HK. Clara's home club, the NHL's Anaheim Ducks, has loaned him to Swedish club Brynäs until the summer of 2026. The 20-year-old has a contract with Anaheim that runs until 2027.
