The title is becoming a distant prospect for the HCP Junior

HC Pustertal Junior suffered its second defeat in the second final game of the IHL Division I against HC Chiavenna. Now things are getting very difficult.

HCP Junior now trails 5-0 in the best-of-2 series, meaning Chiavenna is just one win away from crowning the title. The Pustertal team, on the other hand, would need to win three consecutive games to turn this streak around.

After the 0-2 opening defeat on Sunday in Bruneck, the team suffered a resounding 1-5 defeat in Como on Wednesday. For once, the outstanding Chiavenna player on the ice was not former NHL player Alexei Mikhnov, but his Ukrainian compatriot Sibilevych David, who scored three times that evening and added another goal. Kevin Baumgartner scored for HCP Junior, making it 1-4 in the 43rd minute.

Game 3 will take place on Saturday at 19.50:XNUMX p.m. in Bruneck. HCP will do everything in its power to ensure that Chiavenna's championship party doesn't take place in the Intercable Arena.
