Today it's the Blue Team against the KHL champions

A first highlight of the long preparation phase is a test match against Metallurg Magnitogorsk. This will take place today at 16 p.m. in Garmisch. Metallurg are the reigning KHL champions and have already won the Gagarin Trophy twice.

“It’s a good test for my young players so that I can see whether and how I can integrate them into my team in the future. We want to risk as few time penalties as possible, so we want to be very disciplined. I don't think I need to introduce Metallurg much. The team is one of the best that international ice hockey has to offer,” says Italy’s national coach Stefan Mair.
