For HC Pustertal, this will be their third participation in the prestigious ice hockey tournament in Latsch, following 2022 and 2023. In 2022, the Wolves caused a surprise in their opening game with a 4-3 overtime victory against DEL club Ingolstadt; in 2023, the Pustertal team suffered a 2-5 defeat to the Germans. This time, the HCP will face the "Schanzer" again in the tournament.

The clash between HCP and the Straubing Tigers is also eagerly anticipated.
