Pustertal will have to do without Lipon against Innsbruck

HC Falkensteiner Pustertal will have to do without a suspended player in the Tyrolean derby against HC Innsbruck. As the ICE Hockey League announced on Monday afternoon, JC Lipon has been suspended for one game.

The Wolves will have to do without forward JC Lipon – and thus a key player – in their match against Innsbruck. The Canadian was automatically suspended for one game by the ICE Hockey League because he received a game misconduct penalty for a fight with Christoph Kromp in the closing stages of Sunday's game against the Vienna Capitals.

For Lipon, this was his second game-long suspension this season, meaning he will automatically be sitting out one match. HC Pustertal will face the North Tyrolean team away on December 26th at 5:30 PM. The 32-year-old has amassed 19 points (4 goals and 15 assists) for the Wolves so far this season.
