Salinitri leaves Bolzano heading east

He was one of the Italians who made the best impression on HC Bolzano's team last season. Nevertheless, Anthony Salinitri's time in South Tyrol has come to an end.

The 27-year-old Italian-Canadian, who has also represented Italy's national team in the past, will play for the Slovak first division club HK Spisska Nova Ves next season. There, he will be teammates with former Bruneck player Olivier Archambault. Salinitri's departure from HCB is thus sealed.

The center forward joined the Foxes in the summer of 2024, having previously demonstrated his accuracy with ICE rivals Graz and Asiago. In Bolzano, Salinitri made 58 appearances, scoring 21 goals and providing 19 assists. He impressed with his attacking drive and powerful shot, but at the same time, he repeatedly appeared stubborn and often sluggish when moving backwards.

From now on, Salinitri will try to force his way into Italy's squad for the 2026 Olympics in Slovakia.
