Steven Owre is the ICE's most valuable player
Before the start of the playoffs, the election of the most valuable player took place in the ICE Hockey League. With Steven Owre, a Pioneers Vorarlberg professional won the Ron Kennedy Trophy for the first time.

In his debut season in the ICE, the Canadian promptly became the top scorer in the regular season and at the same time the best goalscorer in the league. 31 goals is the most a player has scored since the 2020/21 season. Owre also recorded 31 assists in the regular season. The Pioneers' number 96 scored in 32 of his 48 games.
Steven Owre, who will be honored as part of the pre-playoff series on Tuesday in Feldkirch, received the most votes of all players in the MVP vote with 62 points and was named first 15 times. KAC goalie Sebastian Dahm came in second, John Hughes from Villacher SV came third.
No MVP has yet come from South Tyrol
The trophy is named after Ron Kennedy, who had a positive influence on Austrian ice hockey for many years and lost his battle with cancer on July 9, 2009. “Kennedy was not only a successful trainer, but also a person who was always there for everyone,” writes the ICE in a release. In memory of Kennedy, the ICE has been awarding this trophy to the “Most Valuable Player” chosen by ice hockey journalists since the 2009/10 season.The result:
