Tyrolean Powerplay Festival ends in overtime

The Tyrolean duel between the two state capitals between the north (Innsbruck) and the south (Bozen) was decided 6:5 in favor of the Foxes. Ryan Culkin decided the match in overtime. There had already been ten goals previously. Half of them came in the power play.

Innsbruck is the strongest team in the league when it comes to the majority. A whopping 36,6 percent (!) of power plays lead to a goal for the Sharks. And so it was no surprise that the North Tyroleans were always really dangerous against HC Bozen when a South Tyrolean was in the cooler. The Innsbruck team scored three of their five goals with the advantage. But Bozen also took advantage of the power play opportunities. Christian Thomas scored in the majority shortly before the end to equalize 5:5 (59th) and Angelo Miceli's 4:4 equalizer also resulted from a power play. In the end, Bozen won the Tyrolean derby 6:5 and celebrated its second win against HC Innsbruck in the current season. The Foxes also continue to lead the ICE table. Short & sweet: The most important thing about the game Lively starting third Bolzano starts well and is clearly better in the first quarter of an hour. Felicetti (9th) and Miceli (15th) put the South Tyroleans in the lead with two goals before Coulter deflected in a Jakubitzka shot to make it 2-1 (20th). Two goalie changes The middle third is extremely exciting. A Miglioranzi shot deflected by Frigo lands on the bar and goes into the net from Innsbruck goalkeeper McCullum's hand (24th). He replaced the injured Swette during the break. Then Shaw scores with a backhander to make it 2:3 (25th). Shortly afterwards, Bernard has to make room for Harvey in the HCB goal. Innsbruck power play Because Miglioranzi earned a 4-minute penalty, the HCB started to sweat a lot. Innsbruck took advantage of the advantage and went from 2:3 to 4:3 within just under two minutes. Tyrolean Powerplay Festival ends in overtime

HCB Südtirol Alperia won the second prestigious duel in the ICE Hockey League within three days. After the derby home win over HC Pustertal on Friday, the Foxes won in Innsbruck on Sunday. The game in the sold-out Olympic Hall was extremely exciting.
