Asiago Hockey is in financial distress.
Are salaries paid at Asiago?
Although Asiago Hockey has been lagging behind in sporting terms since joining the ICE Hockey League, the Stellati have always been a young, developing team with a dangerous offense. However, in recent days the club has been under pressure due to its financial difficulties.

In recent days, the Austrian media has been reporting that Asiago is threatened with exclusion from the ICE due to outstanding player salaries. If the club does not provide proof of payment by the end of the week, trouble will loom. Now Asiago itself has clarified things with a post: "We would like to remind everyone that the renovation work on the stadium has been affected. The club has been forced to carry out preparations at another location and to play its first home game on October 18th."
"All this has significantly complicated the financial situation due to the lack of revenue and the significant increase in expenses. Added to this was the need to reorganize relations with some sponsors and wait for revenue from fans' season tickets. These factors have undoubtedly made the situation more difficult. However, we can reassure everyone: in a few days the economic situation will return to normal in terms of paying staff and players' salaries, with the amounts due being paid in full," the club said in a statement.
The stadium is being renovated
Background: The venerable Hodegart, which was built in 1977, is showing its age. It was only thanks to a special permit and on the condition that the stadium be given a new lease of life in the coming years that the Stellati were able to take part in the ICE's matches in the last two years. In May, the renovation work, which totals 11 million euros, began.Edit Profile
