It was a highly dramatic final that SV Kaltern and Varese delivered on Saturday. In the end, the Überetscher had to accept a bitter 0-2 defeat and bury their title dreams. The disappointment was huge.

The players, coaches, supervisors and officials of SV Kaltern stood on the ice with their heads bowed and would have preferred to sink into it. Her gaze went blank. They would have loved to forego the medal for the runner-up title. The disappointment was too great after the 0-2 defeat in the 7th final game against Varese. The reactions were accordingly.
