S+“Coach training in Italy is problematic”

Between 2014 and 2017 he was head coach of the Italian national ice hockey team and led them to 3 world championships. 7 years later, Stefan Mair returns to the Azzurri. This time as assistant coach to his friend Jukka Jalonen.

In the following interview, the 57-year-old from Bolzano, who has worked for 3 years at Schwenningen in Germany and 8 seasons in Switzerland, talks about his new job, his boss Jukka Jalonen and the biggest problems facing local ice hockey.
