The Canadians maintain their maximum points tally after three matches in Group A thanks to their 5-0 win. The French have one point and are now behind Austria (2). Slovenia remains pointless, losing 6-2 to the efficient Latvians (5) on Tuesday afternoon.

Sidney Crosby also added his first goal of the World Cup to his tally with three assists. "Captain Canada" scored on the power play to make it 3-0.
