A Swiss man spoils McDavid's big night

Fans at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis witnessed a historic moment Monday night (local time). Connor McDavid scored the 1100th point of his NHL career. However, it wasn't enough for his Oilers to secure a victory.

Despite two assists from their captain, the Edmonton Oilers ultimately suffered a 2-3 away defeat against the St. Louis Blues.

The Swiss player Pius Suter was responsible for this, scoring the decisive goal to end a run of seven defeats for the Blues.

In over 100 years of NHL history, only 68 other players before McDavid had reached the 1100-point mark. With his current total of 1101 points (364 goals, 737 assists), he also surpassed Glenn Anderson on the all-time scoring list.
