Purdeller drafted by OHL club

Purdeller, who trained at HC Pustertal and was most recently active in Salzburg, was selected 15th by the Peterborough Petes at the CHL Import Draft on Friday. The South Tyrolean describes himself as a “power forward who gives 100 percent at every change and always supports his teammates.” He is a good playmaker who can set the scene for his teammates and also finish himself. A second Azzurro “We are pleased to have signed Tommy,” emphasizes Mike Oke, sporting director of the Peterborough Petes: “He is a player with good skills who also plays hard.” The Petes are active in the OHL, where they played in the OHL last year eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. With Tommaso De Luca, another player from Italy was chosen. However, the striker who was most recently active at Ambri-Piotta did not end up in the OHL like Purdeller, but in the WHL with the Spokane Chiefs.
