Showdown at the Odegar Stadium: Asiago and Ritten fight for the Supercup

The 2015/16 ice hockey year begins with the same duel that ended about five months ago. Although the team from Veneto prevailed back then, the cards have been completely reshuffled for Thursday's game. Both teams have specifically strengthened themselves in the summer and are going into the championship that begins on Saturday as co-favorites for the title. Ritten has to make do without the injured Thomas Spinell, Jan Waldner and Alexander Eisath, while Dave Borrelli and Stefano Marchetti are missing from Asiagio. So far, both Asiago and Rittner Buam have won the Supercup twice. While the Lefebvre team was able to lift the trophy in 2003 and 2013, the team from the high plateau secured the coveted trophy in 2009 and 2010.

Incidentally, Ritten celebrated its last triumph on September 16, 2010 in the Odegar Stadium. Tudin, Scelfo and Watson scored for a 3-0 away win.

Today the Italian ice hockey season begins with the final of the Supercup. At the 14th edition, champions Asiago and Italian Cup winners Ritten face each other. The game will kick off at 20:30 p.m.
