Stefano Margoni strengthens the storm of HC Neumarkt

HCN coach Teppo Kivelä can welcome a new, extremely experienced player for his first ice training on August 19th. Stefano Margoni has signed in Neumarkt for the coming season. The 38-year-old striker is moving from HC Fassa to Unterland.

Stefano Margoni (1,81 m, 82 kg) can look back on an impressive career. The left-handed shooter from Pozza di Fassa made his debut in 1992 with his hometown club, HC Fassa. Since then, Margoni has played no less than 17 seasons for the Trentino team, as well as stints at HC Bozen (2005/06) and Pontebba (2006 to 2009). In the past season he played 47 championship games for Fassa and scored 14 goals and 26 assists. In total, the veteran has a whopping 752 appearances, 239 hits and 321 assists in his career.

After Margoni had gone through all the youth selection teams, he was part of the Italian national team for years. The new HC Neumarkt striker took part in eleven World Cups and the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin with the “Azzurri”.

Riwega remains the main sponsor

At the same time as the squad planning, the club's structural preparation for the upcoming season in the Inter-National League is also in full swing. The company Riwega, which HC Neumarkt was able to win as the main and name sponsor for the coming season, plays a crucial role in this regard. Club president Ivo Visintin is correspondingly satisfied: “I am extremely pleased that a Neumarkt company, and a successful and up-and-coming one at that, continues to support us as our main sponsor.”

The Riwega company has developed into a leading company in the field of roof sealing and insulation. The Neumarkt company is internationally established in the industry market. “That’s exactly what makes sponsorship interesting for both sides,” explain the company founders Werner Rizzi and Werner Gamper in unison. Rizzi explains the connection: “As a company, we have to look beyond national borders in order to be able to develop further. We are now also active in Austria and Slovenia. That’s why taking part in the international INL is particularly attractive for us as a sponsor.”

The lettering “Riwega” will also appear in the club name next season and will adorn the jerseys and advertising space of HC Neumarkt.
