Bozner FC, what is going on all of a sudden?

Bozner FC was the big problem child in the early stages of this Oberliga season. But after the change of coach, the Talferstädter suddenly started playing well. An ex-professional has sparked new magic.

A week ago, the situation for Bozner FC looked like this: 5 games, 1 point, just one goal scored - and last place in the table. On Monday, coach Paolo Goisis had to pack his bags, and sporting director Joachim Degasperi stepped in on an interim basis. And the ex-professional (more than 300 games between Serie C and Serie B) breathed new life into the team. On Wednesday, Bozner FC managed to break free with a 2-1 victory over St. Georgen, and on Sunday the Talferstädter followed up impressively with a 3-1 triumph over Anaune.

Emanuele Bocchio, Justin Pfeifer and Simone Fratucello sealed the victory. Within just a few days, Bozner FC has advanced from last place to 11th place and now has its sights set on the top 10 - that's where a team with these qualities belongs. In the future, however, there will probably be a new coach on the sidelines, as Jack Degasperi has made it clear that he only wants to take on the role on the sidelines on an interim basis. The new coach could be presented as early as next week.

Obermais flawless, Virtus Bozen not

Obermais celebrated an easy 3-0 victory in the South Tyrolean duel against Stegen. The match was practically decided after one half, as the Meran team was leading 2-0 and Stegen also weakened itself with a red card (Dieter Schatzer). In the table, the FCO is in second place, just one point behind leaders Virtus Bozen, who had to settle for a 2-1 draw against Rovereto. The Talferstädter were leading 1-1 until deep into injury time, but had to accept a last-minute equalizer.

Partschins lived up to its reputation as a surprise team in the difficult away game at St. Georgen, holding Jergina to a 1-1 draw. Moise Drebli gave Pustertal a 1-0 lead, but 16-year-old Tizian Stecher equalized with his third top league goal shortly after half-time. There were also draws for St. Pauls (1-1 against Vipo Trento) and Tramin (0-0 against Levico), while Brixen celebrated a 1-0 win against Comano and consolidated its place in the top 5.
