S+VIDEO | This brutal attack is causing a stir in amateur football

On Wednesday, half an hour had been played in the league game between Anaune and St. Pauls when Simone Faes blew all the fuses. During a break in the game, the Nonsberg defender approached visiting striker Jonas Clementi and felled him with a brutal headbutt. The Paulsner storm ace went down and had to be replaced a few minutes later with bruises on his face and bleeding profusely. Faes was sent off with a red card by referee Giorgia Riboli (Crema section). For him, however, this wild action is likely to have much greater consequences. Incidentally, the game ended with a 2-1 win for St. Pauls (SportNews reported).
