Cristiano Ronaldo meets Trump at the White House

According to sources, football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to attend a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The German Press Agency learned this from the Saudi ruler's traveling entourage. According to them, the athlete is to attend a dinner with Trump, along with the Saudi head of government and de facto ruler. Previously, the New York Times-Sports supplement The Athletic reported about it.

The Portuguese record appearance holder and top scorer has been playing for Saudi Arabia's first division club Al-Nassr since 2022. His contract runs until 2027. The 40-year-old is now considered almost a figurehead of modern Saudi Arabia. For example, he recently gave an interview at a tourism trade fair to promote the Gulf monarchy as a travel destination.

Ronaldo: Trump is one of the most important people in the world

Next year, Ronaldo wants to play for his country one last time at a World Cup finals tournament in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Ronaldo recently said in an interview that he would like to meet Trump for a conversation: "He is one of the most important people in the world." Trump can make things happen and change the world, Ronaldo emphasized, linking this to the hope for more peace in the world.
