FC Südtirol beat Reggiana 2-1

In the first game after the Alessandro Campo era, who left the club for Cremona, the FCS faced Reggiana away at the start of the second half of the 1st Division Lega Pro. FC Südtirol had the first opportunity in the second minute, but Bellucci was on target when Turchetta shot. On the other side, Pederzoli's loss of the ball almost gave the home team the lead. Cavion sent Anastasi on the move, whose diagonal shot Micai was able to direct out of the goal with his foot.

As a result, both teams were very tactically disciplined and only allowed little. In the 20th minute, Cappelletti narrowly missed Pederzoli's free kick. After just over half an hour, Furlan tried a shot from the left of the edge of the penalty area, but his shot was too imprecise. And a flying header from Dell'Agnello also sailed a few meters past Reggina's goal. Micai then fended off a shot from Viapiana with his fists before Bassoli forced Reggina keeper Bellucci into a brilliant save shortly before the half-time whistle.

A double blow brings the decision

After the break nothing happened for a long time before Bellucci distinguished himself from a Furlan free kick that deflected off the wall and directed the ball over the crossbar (58'). And from that point on, things happened in quick succession. After Turchetta's through pass, Corazza broke into the opponent's penalty area, passed Bellucci and served Branca perfectly. All he had to do was push the ball over the line to take the FCS lead (61'). It was Branca's first goal of the season. And things got even better for the white and reds. Just two minutes later, Corazza made it 2-0 with his fifth goal of the season after a great assist from Dell'Agnello.

Reggina's reaction didn't take long to arrive. In the 66th minute, Anastasi reduced the score to 1-2 when he nodded a cross from Cavion over the line. The guests then tried to take the tempo out of the game and manage their narrow lead, but Reggina kept appearing dangerously in front of Micai. This was also the case in the 79th minute, when Sandri's diagonal shot passed just a meter past the FCS goal.

Dell'Agnello could have made everything clear five minutes before the end of regular time. The attacker stole the ball from Solini, but was then unable to outwit Bellucci as he rushed out with a lob. The hosts almost immediately equalized when De Silvestro directed a shot onto the post. Lucky for FC Südtirol, who survived the final phase unscathed, celebrated their second away win of the season and had at least one point for the fourth game in a row.

FC Südtirol beat Reggiana 2-1

A double strike from Branca and Corazza after an hour gave the White and Reds an important away win in Reggio Emilia in their first game of the new year. It was the third win in a row for the white-reds, the second away from home.
