FC Südtirol: game of fate in Venice

Admittedly, the omens of turning the tide against Inzaghi's team of all teams are not particularly good - and for three reasons: Firstly, Venezia are a top team and a power in front of their own crowd. The last home game was lost on November 22, 2015. Inzaghi's squad is in fourth place in the table, just two points behind leader Bassano. Secondly, the Lagunenstädters already showed their claws in the Italian Cup game on Tuesday, clearly winning 4-0 with the second guard against the B team of FC Südtirol. And thirdly, the FCS is currently in trouble. After the win against Pordenone three weeks ago, the White-Reds showed weak performances against both Albinoleffe (0:2) and Ancona (1:1) and continue to fumble in the bottom midfield near the play-out zone in the table Job.

But perhaps the FCS strikes exactly when you least expect it. Gabriel Brugger is expected to start against Venezia in place of the injured Sarzi, and Giacomo Tulli will also return to the starting line-up after missing out due to injury last weekend. Marco Baldan, who suffered from knee inflammation, was not there.

What is certain is that FC Südtirol needs points. The players also want to play for their coach William Viali, whose chair would shake more and more in the event of a defeat.

FC Südtirol: game of fate in Venice

FC Südtirol has to start the difficult away trip to Venice today. After recent weak performances, a turnaround should be initiated against the top club - otherwise it could have been the last game on the FCS bench for coach William Viali.
