“I don’t miss the German classic”

On Saturday evening, all eyes will be on Munich: FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will face off in the German classic starting at 6:30 p.m. One Bayern legend won't miss this match.

Thomas Müller won't miss the Bundesliga summit between FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. But the former Bayern star isn't sad that he won't be able to take part in the German Clásico as a player. "I'm not the type to miss things," the former German national team player told the Munich newspaper "Abendzeitung."

"I've played many games like this for FC Bayern in the past. Now I've decided on something else, or rather, I've decided not to qualify for the classic," said the 36-year-old. His career at Bayern is over. "When I look back, it was wonderful. The present is now the Vancouver Whitecaps," Müller continued. He will, of course, watch the game and keep his fingers crossed for Bayern.

In Vancouver: Six goals in as many games

Müller has settled in well in Vancouver. He has already scored six goals in six MLS matches. With one game remaining in the regular season, Müller and the Whitecaps are in first place in the West with 63 points.
