Juve star Eva Schatzer: “Football is not just a boys’ sport”

"It was an absolute dream week: First, fourth place in the South Tyrolean Sports Awards, then the award for Youth Sportswoman of the Year. And nine days later, I won the Serie A championship with Juve Women! Could it be better? Not really," says Eva Schatzer, reflecting on the past few days.

It's a modern football fairytale that Eva Schatzer has been writing for many months. The Vahrn native, who turned just 16 on January 2005, 20, is poised to become one of the best South Tyrolean athletes of all time. And not in an individual sport, and not in a winter sports discipline, but in football.
