The grades: Nobody likes playing against FC Südtirol

We present here the notes of the Saturday's game, in which the FCS got a point and the promotion decision in Serie B was postponed. If they had won, Frosinone's promotion to Serie A would have been almost guaranteed.

Poluzzi 8 The save against Koné in the 62nd minute deserves the rating “particularly valuable”. The FCS keeper was always at his post and exuded an unshakable calm. Strong performance against the frontrunners.

Curto 7 He had a very unpleasant opponent in Soufiane Bidaoui, but in the end he completed his task brilliantly and emerged victorious.

Zaro 6,5 A little sloppy every now and then, but the same applies to him: There's zero at the back, job accomplished. The South Tyrolean four-man chain Curto, Zaro, Masiello, Celli remains the showpiece.

Masiello 7,5 Substitute Koné played them all giddily – all but one. The 23-year-old Ivorian also had to face the experienced Masiello. The former Atalanta defender's positional play is always a feast for the eyes.

Cellos 6,5 After his injury, he needed some time to get back into shape. In Frosinone, at least at times, you could see the old Celli again, the one he wore in the FCS jersey from the first few months. Insigne had nothing to laugh about on Saturday.

De Col 6,5 He didn't just limit himself to defensive work on the right wing, but also looked for a way forward. Initiated some dangerous FCS actions.

Tait 6:XNUMX The captain was up against perhaps the strongest midfield in Serie B and bravely stood up to them. After Koné was substituted on, things became even more difficult for the Salurner. He staggered but didn't fall. Had a chance shortly before half-time but his shot was blocked.

Fiordilino 6,5 Played one of the best games since he arrived in January. He, the technically strong six, fought and toiled in midfield, whose qualities actually lie elsewhere. In the end he was exhausted and left the last drop of sweat on the pitch.

Rover 6,5 Started as a left wing, after the break he moved into the attack as a hanging point behind Odogwu. Not quite in the form of the first half of the season, but he had the best FCS chance in Frosinone. Only a great save from Frosinone goalie Turati prevented a goal in the 59th minute.

Matteo Rover varied his position.

Matzocchi 6 The start wasn't good at all: Dangerous loss of the ball and yellow card after 5 minutes. But then things went better. Prepared a chance for Odogwu and completed a very pleasing FCS move himself. Bisoli took him out at the break, but this time an upward trend was clearly visible.

Odogwu 6 In the 34th minute, he had the ball twice in a good shooting position on his strong left foot. After the break he laid off Rover's best FCS opportunity. A mistake in front of their own penalty area led to a chance for the home team immediately after the restart. After 2 minutes he had to leave injured. I've had much better games.

Casiraghi 6 Came on for Mazzocchi at the break and acted as the left wing in the South Tyrolean 4-4-2. He was immediately in the middle of the game, his teammates were looking for him, he offered himself and cleverly put his teammates in the spotlight. Tried a spectacular overhead kick in the 80th minute, but it clearly missed the mark. However, the really big scenes were missing this time.

Lunette 6 Replaced Filippo De Col after 65 minutes and caused quite a stir on the right wing - for better or for worse. You really can't blame him for a lack of effort. But the FCS fans have not yet seen the real Lunetta. Too often he acted too hectic and nervous. In counterattack situations he has to be more cold-blooded.

Larrivey no grade Came in for the injured Odogwu in the 70th minute, when the front-runners were vehemently pushing for the winning goal and the FCS fought against it with all their might - not an easy situation for a striker. Together with Casiraghi, he set up Lunetta's chance at the finish.

Schiavone no grade Frosinone became more and more pressing, coach Bisoli made a change after 70 minutes and brought in an additional midfielder in Schiavone to strengthen the center. Did his job.

Vinetot no note Came in the 90th minute because Marco Curto couldn't play anymore. Didn't let anything go wrong in stoppage time and made his contribution to winning points for the league leaders.

Bisoli 6,5 His FC Südtirol may not be particularly spectacular, but the FCS coach knows how to pull an opponent's teeth. After Frosinone's lucky 1-1 draw in the first leg in Bolzano, the leaders were eager to teach the rebellious FC Südtirol of "concrete mixer" Bisoli a lesson and practically secure promotion to Serie A with a win in front of a full house bring to. But nothing there - the FCS cannot be defeated for Frosinone. After the weak performance in Ascoli, the Bisoli protégés showed their old virtues again on Saturday: maximum concentration, the ability to suffer, and the willingness to sacrifice.
