Fabrizio Castori has written a little fairytale story at FC Südtirol in recent months. At the beginning of December, the 70-year-old football coach took over an FC Südtirol side that was struggling and teetering toward Serie C. But under his leadership, the battered White and Reds picked themselves up, played a dream second half of the season, and managed to avoid relegation. The South Tyroleans ultimately finished in 10th place.
Hardly anyone doubted that Castori would remain coach at FC Südtirol after this magnificent second half of the season. Now the White-Reds have officially announced that Serie B's record coach will also be on the FCS bench next season. Castori has signed a contract until June 2026, which will automatically be extended for another season if the club avoids relegation.

"It's an environment I like, one I'm used to working in. A provincial club, like many in my long career, and my style of football is perfectly suited to such circumstances. It's an exemplary model, a club that excels at pursuing its goals with normal means," said coach Castori after the contract extension.
Coaching staff remains unchanged
For the upcoming 2025/26 season, Fabrizio Castori can once again count on a proven coaching team: Riccardo Bocchini as assistant coach, Carlo Pescosolido and Danilo Chiodi as athletic coaches, Tommaso Marolda as technical assistant, Massimo Marini as goalkeeping coach, Marco Castori as match analyst and Alberto Andorlini as athletic coach and head of rehabilitation.Edit Profile
