The fairytale debut season of FC Südtirol in Serie B will forever be associated with the name Pierpaolo Bisoli. Now the former successful coach of FCS has found a new job – and this is without a doubt a special one

Bisoli had sensationally led FCS to the playoff semi-finals in the 2022/23 season. The 58-year-old was most recently in Serie B at Modena, where he was sacked at the beginning of November. At the same time that Federico Valente had to throw in the towel at FCS. In any case, Bisoli is back: He was introduced as the new Brescia coach on Monday evening.

Bisoli was already active as a player at the traditional club from Lombardy. Back in the Serie A days, when he finished seventh with Brescia in the 2000/01 season. Back then, Bisoli played in midfield alongside Andrea Pirlo. Those days are long gone. In any case, he will succeed Rolando Maran from Trentino at the 10th-placed club.

Bisoli’s son Dimitri is the captain of Brescia.

In Brescia, Bisoli will meet his son Dimitri. The 30-year-old has been the linchpin of the blue-and-whites' midfield for many years. The captain enjoys cult status among the fans, at least since he remained loyal to the club last summer despite the threat of relegation. Pierpaolo Bisoli will also work with his second son Davide in Brescia. The 28-year-old was his match analyst and assistant coach back in his FCS days.
