FCS Grades: Of Racehorses and New Stars

Adamonis 6,5 180 minutes, 0 goals conceded. There is no better debut for a new goalkeeper. The Lithuanian exudes calm and confidence. This has an effect on the players in front of him. The changing of the guard in goal seems to have taken place.

Giorgini 6,5 Solid defensively and some good moves from set pieces up front. Good performance from the 22-year-old.

Pietrangeli 7 His second goal of the season gave the FCS (even more) security and calm. He is increasingly cementing his place in the center of the defense of the White-Reds. He had a few problems in the first half and after the break, but was flawless after the 2-1.

Simone Davi 6,5 After Zedadka's serious injury, he was allowed to start for the first time since the end of November. He provided the assist for the 1-0 goal. He did a good job in other respects too. A recommendation for more playing time.

Odogwu 6 The FCS attack tank was much less present yesterday than we are used to from him. He secured a few balls well, but that was all he could do.

Merkai 6,5 He ran like a racehorse and threw himself into every duel. Offensively, the same applies to him as to Odogwu: He didn't do much.

El Kaouakibi 6 Came on after 67 minutes and used his strong physique to close things down on the right side. Castori did everything right with the substitution.

Martinis 6 He has played a few minutes and is now a permanent fixture in the FCS team. He has been in action for 6 games, including 2 from the start. At 20 years old, he still has enough time to develop further. A good start has been made.

Rover 6 Couldn't make use of his speed in the 15 minutes he played, but helped to maintain the result.

Kofler without a note The Rablander will have taken a deep breath after Girma's supposed goal was disallowed by the VAR. Kofler didn't look good at all. Lucky for him.

Castori 6,5 He got FC Südtirol back on track after the Zaffaroni disaster. For the first time since the first two match days, FCS was able to win twice in a row. It was also the first home win in just over 1 (!) months. All of this is balm for the battered FCS soul and should give them a further boost. With simple football, Castori has instilled new courage in the team and given them an identity. He has also found the starting eleven. Simone Davi replaced the injured Zedadka on the left, a logical choice. After a few weeks of dismal luck, FCS now has luck on its side. In the last two games, a penalty and a goal were disallowed after VAR studies. The White-Reds have earned that. The Castori-FCS is not a perfect painting, more of a straightforward, modern image. What counts is the result - that is no different in football than in art.
