Manuel De Luca moves to Cremonese

Manuel De Luca is leaving Sampdoria for Cremonese: the two clubs officially announced this on Friday evening.

The striker from Pfatten has been under contract with Sampdoria for the past three years, with him being loaned to Perugia in the 2021/2022 season. Last season, he secured a regular place in the attack at Sampdoria, scored 32 goals in 10 Serie B games and made it to the playoffs with the Genoa club in 7th place. There, the Blucerchiati failed in the first round against Palermo.

Now De Luca is moving to Sampdoria's league rivals Cremonese. The 26-year-old signed a contract with the Lombards until June 30, 2028. The team from Cremona was relegated from Serie A two years ago and finished fourth last season, losing to Catanzaro in the semi-finals of the playoffs. The South Tyrolean striker is expected to use his goal-scoring ability to help Cremonese get a say in the top spots again.
