Official: FCS signs Crnigoj

It was leaked on Monday evening that FC Südtirol would be signing Slovenian Domen Crnigoj. Now the transfer has been officially confirmed.

Domen Crnigoj, a 26-time Slovenian international, has signed with FC Südtirol. The club confirmed the transfer in a press release on Tuesday morning. The 30-year-old has signed a six-month contract until the end of the season, with an option to extend until June 2027.

Crnigoj, who most recently played in Trieste to be closer to his family in Istria, strengthens the midfield of the Red and Whites. The physically strong Slovenian (1,88 meters) brings a wealth of experience. Crnigoj made 113 appearances in the Swiss Super League for Lugano. He also has 49 Serie A and 64 Serie B appearances for Venezia, Reggiana, and Salernitana. Crnigoj played 89 games for his hometown club Koper in the Slovenian Super League.
