Winless streak over! The FCS gets big points

After the 1-0 home win against Parma on October 22nd, the FCS had to wait almost two months for their next win. After 6 draws and one defeat, the team of successful coach Pierpaolo Bisoli won 2-0 in Cittadella. This meant that Fabian Tait & Co. climbed up the table to a playoff place.

The deciding factor in the guest game in the province of Padua was the 20th minute, when Cittadella's midfielder Danzi was shown a yellow-red card after a hard tackle on Raphael Odogwu. Almost 10 minutes later, FC Südtirol took a 1-0 lead thanks to a dream goal from midfield gem Hans Nicolussi Caviglia, before Raphael Odogwu made the preliminary decision with a solo effort just before half-time. The Italian-Nigerian's 6th goal of the season also sealed the final score.

Incidentally, FCS coach Bisoli watched his team's successful afternoon from the stands because of a yellow card suspension. He was represented by Leandro Greco. With the win, FC Südtirol increased its lead over the playout zone to 7 points. The last game of the year for the White-Reds will be at home against Modena on St. Stephen's Day (December 26th).

The highlights Early out Cittadellas Danzi was shown a yellow-red card in the 20th minute. His second foul in 5 minutes was tough. The midfielder literally mows Odogwu down. A right decision. Dream goal Tait passed the ball to Nicolussi Caviglia from the edge of the penalty area in the 29th minute. The FCS talent shoots the ball into the far corner for his second goal of the season. The Juve loanee had already scored a dream goal in the home win against Parma. Power Odogwu Odogwu gets the ball 40 meters in front of the goal. The FCS goalscorer then leaves half of the Cittadella defense standing with a show of strength and makes it 2-0 shortly before the break.
