Emanuele Zuelli and Simone Zanon are having a strong season with newly promoted Carrarese (currently in 11th place) and are an integral part of their team. While Zanon took a detour from Serie D, Zuelli played for Chievo in Serie B a few years ago. However, the midfield strategist's career stalled at the reserve teams of Juventus and Pisa.
This year, Zuelli has made an impressive comeback. The 23-year-old is currently playing the full 90 minutes, as he did in the 2-1 home win against Bari. Zanon was also selected from the starting lineup on the right wing. Teammate Zuelli has two goals and two assists in 26 appearances this season.
Manuel DeLuca has been a solid Serie B striker for years. The native of Pfattner has scored five goals so far this season. De Luca played the full 5 minutes in the 2-2 home draw against Cittadella, but failed to score. Despite this, Cremonese is firmly in the playoff race in the standings. Lorenzo Sgarbi is currently not playing at all at Juve Stabia. David Wieser can be satisfied with his first Serie B season so far. The 23-year-old from Val Gardena has made 24 appearances. In the 2-0 win against FC Südtirol, Wieser was substituted in the final phase.
Little going on outside of Serie B
Abroad, Max Reinthaler (1860 Munich) and Simon Straud (Austria Klagenfurt) will not play this weekend, although the Pustertal native is still injured. In Serie C, Manuel Fischnler with Sassari Torres only on Monday evening, while Jonas Heinz (Casertana) was suspended for yellow cards. Luke Sinn was substituted on in the 78th minute at Clodiense Chioggia. The Adria players then turned the home game against Novara (2-1). Daniel Theiner (Carpi) and Simon Harasser (Sorrento) are currently reserve goalkeepers.Edit Profile
