Before FCS game: Chaos at Salernitana

FC Südtirol's next game is an away game against Salernitana on Saturday (15 p.m.), with the Salerno club facing a free fall.

Salernitana last played in Serie A for three seasons before being relegated in the summer. Since then, things have continued to spiral downwards. After 32 matchdays of the Serie B season, Salernitana is in a direct relegation spot. The Campania side has five points less than FC Südtirol.

The chaos began even before the first matchday, when coach Andrea Sottil, who had only joined in the summer, resigned after 12 days in office. Roberto Breda, Salernitana's fourth coach this season, is set to be dismissed this Monday. It's therefore very likely that the home team will be hoping for another coaching effect against FCS.

Sampdoria also in free fall

Sampdoria, due to its history, is one of the richest clubs in Italy and is also at risk of being relegated to Serie C. The Genoa club, like Salernitana, is in a relegation spot and has only two points more than the southern Italians. Sampdoria has already gone through three coaches this season, with Leonardo Semplici on the verge of being fired.
