a Serie B

How much does Castori rotate in Palermo?

FC Südtirol faces its most crucial weeks since being promoted to Serie B. To avoid relegation, the White and Reds need points in their final four games of the season. On the holiday in Palermo (15 p.m.), the question arises as to how much coach Fabrizio Castori will rotate his team.

Seven FCS players will be suspended if they receive another yellow card. Because the South Tyroleans have a relegation duel against Cosenza at the Drusus Stadium on Sunday, Castori could rest a few players in Palermo. The duel against the highly-rated Sicilian side appears to be less important than the upcoming match against Cosenza.

Hamza El Kaouakibi, Raphael Kofler, Andrea Masiello, Matteo Rover, Simone Davi, Daniele Casiraghi, and Salvatore Molina are at risk. Casiraghi and Molina, in particular, would be almost impossible to replace against Cosenza. Therefore, it looks as if they will get a rest in Palermo. However, while there are several alternatives for Casiraghi, those for Molina are few and far between. It remains to be seen which option Castori chooses.

Castori is himself banned

Coach Castori himself will have to watch from the stands. He was suspended for two matches after his outburst against Juve Stabia. He will be joined by athletic trainer Danilo Chiodi, who is also suspended.

Palermo can draw on a full complement of players against FCS. The Sicilian side are currently sixth in the Serie B standings. Top player is Joel Pohjanpalo, who joined from Venezia in the winter and has already scored nine goals this spring. Together with Frenchman Jeremy Le Douaron (6), Roberto Insigne (9), and captain Matteo Brunori (5), he forms a strong attack.
