The first Serie B newcomer has been determined

Cesena already made it clear that they would be promoted to Serie B at the end of March. The team from Emilia-Romagna simply played an outstanding season.

Serie B has another traditional club richer: Cesena will play second class again in the future. The former first division team from Emilia-Romagna secured promotion on Saturday with a 1-0 home win over Delfino Pescara. With 86 points, Cesena can move out of second place in the table. Sassari Torres (where Manuel Fiwickeler plays) can no longer be pushed out of the top spot with four game days to go.

Cesena's lead over Sassari Torres is 14 points. The big championship party then started at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi. The Cesena stadium, built in 1957 and able to accommodate 23.000 people, is particularly popular with fans. It exudes a special charm for football romantics. Cesena returned to Serie B for the first time in 6 years. In 2015/16, the Black and Whites even played in Serie A.

The Cesena stadium is very popular among football fans.

FC Südtirol can most likely look forward to another attractive opponent next season. In the A group of Serie C, Mantova (with David Wieser from Val Gardena) is on the verge of promotion. In the C season, Juve Stabia should soon make the jump in class clear.
