FC Obermais has reacted after the first two matchdays, both of which ended in defeats. Two players have left the club, but they have welcomed a high-profile new signing.

On Sunday (3 p.m.), FC Obermais will play its third match in Serie D. The Merano team will play their next match in the small town of Vigasio, a few kilometers south of Verona. Before that, the club, led by coach Flavio Toccoli, has reacted by making changes to the squad.

Two players have left the club – for now. Younes Jamai has been loaned to local rivals Olimpia Merano, where he hopes to make a splash with the newly promoted team in the Landesliga. Moritz Tschöll is also no longer in Obermais. The Passeier native has moved to Partschins in the Oberliga. Further departures are not ruled out. However, as of now, no other players have left.

Alex Loncini strengthens FC Obermais

On the other hand, the sporting management team, led by Michael Höller and Christian Platzer, has also reacted and signed a new player. Alex Loncini, who is moving from Sondrio to the Lahn. The 19-year-old from Bolzano had a fantastic debut season at Teramo (31 games, 2 goals) and moved to Sondrio in the summer. However, things didn't work out as planned there, which is why his contract was terminated a few days ago.

Loncini has progressed through FC Südtirol's youth teams and can be deployed flexibly in midfield.
