A trip to Chioggia should not be a sightseeing tour.
After facing Serie C relegated side Legnago, FC Obermais must travel this Sunday to another club that played professionally last year. The task in Chioggia will be another tough one.

FC Obermais is currently going through a difficult period. The Merano-based team hasn't won in four matches. To make matters worse, the current fixture list pits them against the league's toughest teams. Luca Tenderini and his teammates experienced this firsthand last Saturday against Legnago (1-5). Now, they face another Serie C relegated side, Union Clodiense (Sunday, 2:30 PM).
At the club from the picturesque lagoon city, everything changed over the summer. Not a single player (!) stayed after relegation, which is why Clodiense had to assemble a completely new squad. While this squad is extremely high-caliber, the team hasn't quite gelled yet. With 12 points, Clodiense is lagging behind expectations – a fact that FCO is well aware of.
Extensive professional experience at Clodiense
Clodiense's squad certainly doesn't lack top-class players. Riccardo Bocalon (148 Serie B appearances) and Roberto Candido both played for FC Südtirol. Lorenzo De Grazia, Roberto Codromaz, and Alessandro Provenzano have all also amassed well over 100 Serie C appearances. And with Roberto Vecchiato at the helm, they have a coach who knows Serie D like the back of his hand.Riccardo Bocalon (right) also played professionally for FC Südtirol.
So what are the arguments in favor of FC Obermais in Chioggia? The South Tyroleans are the big underdogs and have always put in a good performance so far – with the exception of Legnago. Therefore, they should be able to get something out of the Clodiense game as well.Serie D, Group C: Matchday 11
