It was not a game for the faint of heart that the spectators saw in the “Combi Stadium” in Meran. What was probably most taxing was the spirit of the Sarn supporters, who saw their team take the lead twice, but both times the bravely fighting Merano team were able to equalize. It wasn't until Michael Groß made it 3-2 around 20 minutes before the end that the Burggräflers finally broke their necks.

Both teams were under pressure because after three rounds Meran and Sarntal only had three points. Accordingly, things got down to business in the early match of the fourth round. Saltuari gave the guests the lead for the first time after half an hour. Heini Stuefer lobbed the ball over an opponent to Sascha Hofer, who cleverly received the ball and skillfully played Saltuari into the lane. Laimer took advantage of one of these chances to make it 2-2 (70th). But the joy didn't last long. Just two minutes later, the guests showed that they can also be real rascals. Stuefer quickly took a free kick and sent Groß on his way, who stayed cool in front of the goalkeeper and pushed the ball through his legs for the 3-2 winning goal. For the soul of ASC Sarntal football, this victory is worth gold after two defeats in a row, while Meran continues to hold on to three points from four games.
