Austrian Gregoritsch moves to Denmark

ÖFB team player Michael Gregoritsch will play for the traditional Danish football club Bröndby IF.

The 31-year-old left SC Freiburg and signed a contract with last season's third-place finisher in Denmark until the summer of 2028. Bröndby announced this on Wednesday. Gregoritsch joined Freiburg from FC Augsburg in the summer of 2022. Since then, he has worn the SC jersey in 107 competitive matches and scored 30 goals.

One of Gregoritsch's teammates at Brøndby is national team goalkeeper Patrick Pentz. The club from a suburb of Copenhagen is second in the Danish Superliga after two rounds and will play against Racing Strasbourg in the first leg of their Conference League play-off this Thursday.
