Sané before Bayern farewell

Leroy Sané is apparently about to leave FC Bayern Munich. The 2028-year-old international has rejected an offer from the German champions to extend his contract until 29, according to Bild. The club reportedly set Sané a deadline of this weekend.

Sky had previously reported that Sané had declined an offer of ten million euros plus additional bonuses. The highly talented winger's contract with FC Bayern expires on June 30, at which point he could leave on a free transfer.

Sané recently changed agents and is now represented by Pini Zahavi. Zahavi was also hired by then-Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski a few years ago, before he later moved to FC Barcelona.

"Leroy Sané and his agency know exactly what we want. They know exactly the requirements. And we hope that they will choose us," Bayern sporting director Max Eberl recently said on the subject.

Since the summer of 2020, Sané, who joined from Manchester City, has played over 200 competitive matches for the Munich club, with varying degrees of success. There have been frequent debates about his mentality, despite Sané's four league titles with Bayern. He won two English titles with City.
