Wierer has to continue watching the World Cup

From the Azzurri's perspective, the Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide are not going as planned. Now the Italian Winter Sports Association has reported the next setback.

As the FISI wrote on Monday afternoon, Dorothea Wierer still has a bad cold. Therefore, the two-time overall World Cup winner will not start in the individual competition on Tuesday (15.05:XNUMX p.m.). On Sunday, Wierer already skipped the pursuit.

Already on Friday, Wierer had, after her 21st place in the sprint against SportNews in Lenzerheide explains, that her health is not good at the moment. The 34-year-old has enormous problems with breathing – even during a normal walk.

Wierer's decision not to compete in the individual event is of course bitter from the azure blue perspective, because that would have been one of the best chances of winning a medal. It is currently unclear whether the South Tyrolean will be able to compete in the single mixed relay on Thursday. Her place in the individual competition will be taken by Martina Trabucchi. She completes the quartet of Hannah Auchentaller, Samuela Comola and the in-form Michela Carrara.
