Alex Gruber dethrones Patrick Pigneter in Deutschnofen
Alex Gruber from Villandro and the Russian Ekaterina Lavrentyeva won the third World Cup stage for natural track luge on Sunday in Nova Ponente. Gruber prevailed over Blasbichler and Pigneter, Lavrentyeva defeated the two South Tyroleans Lanthaler and Bachmann. South Tyrol thus took five of the six podium places.
