Manuel Fischnaller originally had a contract with Sassari Torres until summer 2026, but his Sardinian adventure has now come to an early end. The striker from Signat is moving to the southern neighboring island of Sicily, where he will be a goal-scoring player for Trapani. He signed a two-year contract with his former second-division club. The terms of the transfer have not been disclosed.
The split between Fischnaller and Torres had been looming in recent weeks. For this reason, he didn't travel with the third-division club to the training camp in Sappada. Instead, he's now headed to the Sicilian mountain village of Troina, where Trapani is preparing for the new Serie C season.

Last season, the southern Italians narrowly missed out on reaching the promotion round as a newly promoted team in District C of the third-highest league; this was declared as the minimum goal for the next season.
“Trapani is a city that lives football” Manuel Fischnler
Fischnaller is expected to help the club from the westernmost tip of Sicily return to Serie B after five turbulent years. "I learned about Trapani through former teammates. The city is considered a very livable place, one where football is truly lived. That's why my family and I decided to embark on this new adventure," the South Tyrolean is quoted as saying by the club.
511 league games, 125 goals
The former FCS striker has recently proven that he can still be a threat, even at 33. In his two seasons with Torres, he made 80 appearances in various competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing five assists. In total, Fischnaller has made 5 professional league appearances – 511 of them in Serie B – and scored 61 goals in his long career. In addition to playing for FC Südtirol and Torres, he has also worn the jerseys of Fermana, Catanzaro, Alessandria, and Reggina. Now, Trapani is adding another stop.Edit Profile
