The Serie C promotion final is

Since Wednesday evening it has been clear that Ternana and Pescara will fight for a place in the second highest division in the Serie C playoff final.

Vicenza's dream of promotion to Terni was shattered. The team of coach Stefano Vecchi and general manager Werner Seeber lost 1-3 to Ternana in the second leg of the semifinal. The first leg had ended goalless. Vicenza finished second in Serie C Group A behind champions Padova – 83 points were not enough to win the title.

Ternana will face Pescara in the final, who, after a decisive 4-1 away victory in the first leg against Audace Cerignola, comfortably advanced to the final. The first leg of the final will take place next Monday at Ternana, and the decisive second leg will take place on Saturday, June 1, in Pescara.
