U19 talent Ndongue: From FCS to Valente in Lecco

Frederick Ndongue made a strong impression last season with FC Südtirol's Primavera team. Now the attacker is moving to Federico Valente's Serie C club.

With 15 goals in 25 matches, Frederick Ndongue was by far the top scorer in the FCS Primavera last season. The 18-year-old Cameroonian, who moved to Bolzano from the Atalanta talent factory a year ago, has earned his first chance at the professional level. Not at FC Südtirol, however, but in Lecco.

Federico Valente, the former FCS head coach, is in charge there. Although Valente never directly coached Ndongue, the attacker has certainly made an impression on the Italian-Swiss side, so he's now getting a chance in Serie C.
