Cup final at the Drusus Stadium with a clear winner

In the cup final for the top-division teams, Virtus Bozen and Bozner FC faced each other at the Drusus Stadium. There was a clear winner.

Virtus Bozen won the city derby against Bozner FC 5-1 on Sunday afternoon. The score was already 4-0 for the former Serie D club at halftime, while the surprise team of the first half of the season had a disastrous day. Among those scoring for Virtus were Moussasoui Firas (who scored two goals) and captain Arnaldo Kaptina.

Such a result was completely unexpected, as Virtus and FC Bozner are tied for first place in the Oberliga standings. For Virtus, this is their third Oberliga Cup victory, following wins in 2015 and 2021. Next Saturday, Elis Kaptina's team will face Levico in the regional cup final in Leifers.

St. Georgen loses rescheduled match

In the Oberliga, the rescheduled match between St. Georgen and Benacense was also on the schedule. On the artificial turf in Bruneck, the Puster Valley team lost 0-2. This leaves St. Georgen still mired in the relegation battle. Fifteen points from 15 games – that's not enough for the ambitions of the previously successful Jergina team.
