Partschins' rise? "That's unrealistic"

SV Partschins is enjoying the best season in its club history and is currently second in the Oberliga. We briefly interviewed one of the club's management and asked them about the reasons for this upward trend.

With 44 points, Partschins is now only 6 points behind league leaders Obermais. Is promotion to Serie D therefore a possibility in the Lower Vinschgau? "No, that's unrealistic. Obermais will still collect the necessary points despite their current personnel problems. Virtus could pose the most danger to them – also because they still have a direct duel," explained Partschins sporting director Manuel Werth. SportNews.

Virtus is only one point behind Partschins, and seven behind Obermais. Next weekend at the Talferwiesen, the Bolzano team could make the championship battle even more exciting. In Partschins, however, they're aiming to keep things low: "We want to get over the 50-point mark in our last seven games. We also still have ambitions in the regional cup," says Werth.

In the quarterfinals of the regional cup, Partschins will face Ahrntal on April 9th. Overall, the Black and Reds are having an outstanding season – even though regular goalkeeper Andreas Nischler and defender Marc Kiem suffered serious injuries at the beginning of the second half of the season. "That was a tough blow," Werth reported. Shortly afterward, there was a slight setback, but coach Luca Lomi managed to re-motivate the team.
“We try to keep the team together as much as possible.” Partschins sports director Manuel Werth

As we all know, success also arouses desire. Partschins boasts many promising talents, such as Noah Schweitzer and Tizian Stecher, in its squad. "Of course, other clubs are interested in players like these. But we're trying to keep the team together as much as possible," explained the sporting director. Partschins would also like to continue with experienced players like Armin Rungg, Michael Aiello, and Daniel Lanthaler.
