Bruneck extends their lead in the standings: Bruneck also beats Gargazon

In the regional league, SSV Bruneck further extended their dominance on Saturday – at least for one day. After 13 matchdays, the team from the Puster Valley boasts an impressive record.

SSV Bruneck has earned 36 out of a possible 39 points so far in the current Landesliga season. That's an incredibly strong record, especially considering the league is considered very balanced and challenging. Bruneck, however, has won twelve games and only lost to Olimpia Meran (0-1).

On Saturday, the league leaders secured a 1-0 home victory against Gargazon. Summer signing Justin Pfeifer scored the only goal of the match in the 77th minute. Naturns, who will follow them up in the standings, play against Leifers on Sunday.

Salurn secured a crucial point in their fight against relegation in Vals. The team from the lower part of the valley turned a deficit around in the first half, but then conceded a 2-2 equalizer to Lukas Acherer. While Gitschberg Jochtal continues to hover near the top of the table, Salurn has only recently managed to distance themselves somewhat from the relegation zone.

Schenna celebrates first win of the season

At the bottom of the table, Schenna showed signs of life. The team from the Burgraviate won 1-0 against Latsch thanks to a last-minute goal from Ben Youssouf Sanogo. For the Vinschgau side, it's another setback in a season that has so far fallen short of expectations.
