Thomas Piffrader made quite a slip-up with Bruneck.

Those who are said to be dead live longer: Riffian Kuens beats Bruneck

In the regional league, there was an away win on Saturday that can confidently be described as a surprise coup. Bottom-placed Riffian Kuens beat league leaders Bruneck.

This slip-up could prove costly for Bruneck. The league leaders lost 1-2 to Riffian Kuens on Saturday. A real coup for the previously bottom-placed team from Burggrafenamt, especially since they've now caught up with the second-to-last team from Kiens. They lost 0-2 to Latsch on Saturday – also at home.

Bruneck weakened itself against Riffian Kuens. Lukas Lanzinger was sent off early with a second yellow card before halftime. Bruneck played with a man down for almost an hour. This came back to haunt them. Riffian Kuens led 2-0 at halftime thanks to an own goal and a Spechtenhauser strike, and they never relinquished the lead. Martin Falkensteiner's goal was not enough.

Lana is heading towards the relegation zone

Lana's spring has been disastrous. The Oberliga-relegated team is edging ever closer to the relegation zone. On Saturday, coach Martin Saltuari's team lost 0-1 to Terlan in the final stages. Emil Ciavatta scored the winner in stoppage time.
