Pure excitement in the regional league. In the top match between Bruneck and Gröden, the two title contenders fought a thrilling duel that was only decided in the final phase. The third top club, Ahrntal, also had to fight.

The duel between league leaders Bruneck and pursuers Val Gardena developed into an extremely close and exciting match. For a long time, the two top teams in the league were evenly matched. Martin Vinatzer scored for Val Gardena in the 10th minute, while Sven Kerschbaumer equalized in the second half (57th).

Bruneck used the strong phase after the break to gain control of the game, which they then converted into a victory and the all-important three points against a direct competitor with a goal from Aaron Falkensteiner in the 86th minute. The Pusterer team thus consolidated their title ambitions.

Ahrntal keeps pace

The third top club in the regional league was also up against Tscherms Marling - and won 2:1. A point split between the two rivals would have been ideal for Teldra, but Bruneckner's late winning goal put a stop to their plans. Nevertheless, Ahrntal did its job this weekend, even if not in an outstanding manner.

Goals from Florian Gartner in the 14th minute and from Lukas Kofler in the 32nd minute guaranteed three points for Teldra, who conceded the equalizer shortly after the first goal due to an own goal, but did not let this throw them off course.
