Faux pas in Turin: Players without names on their backs

At least the number was right. Amid the eight-goal madness in the Champions League against Juventus, Borussia Dortmund's Serhou Guirassy unintentionally caused a curiosity.

Instead of his name above the number 9 on his back, Dortmund was written both above and below. His teammate Karim Adeyemi hadn't even noticed the faux pas on the pitch. "Perhaps marketing," the national soccer player suggested with a grin when asked about the strange flocking.

Juventus snatched a win from Dortmund in stoppage time on Tuesday evening, drawing 4-4 despite trailing by two goals. Adeyemi (52nd minute), Felix Nmecha (65th minute), Yan Couto (74th minute), and Ramy Bensebaini (86th minute/penalty) scored for the Germans. Kenan Yildiz (63rd minute), Dusan Vlahovic (68th minute/90th minute+4th minute), and Lloyd Kelly (90th minute+6th minute) scored for the Old Lady ( here is the match report).

Fierce penalty dispute at BVB

Another rarity in the Turin goal spectacle: Before Dortmund's 4-2 lead, Guirassy and Ramy Bensebaini initially disagreed on who would shoot from the penalty spot. There were minutes of discussion between those involved, other teammates, and the coaching staff before Guirassy stepped aside. Bensebaini took over and scored. However, it was still not enough for the visitors to win against a brilliant Turin side, including double-goal scorer Vlahovic.
